Alfred Dixon (1842 - 1919) was active/lived in United Kingdom.  Alfred Dixon is a victorian painter known for his Realism - 

He was an established London painter of domestic scenes and Genre subjects - He exhibited at the Royal accademy

from 1864 to 1891. His paintings often have a social realist flavor. He is illustrated in the victorian dictionary 

and works of his are in various British museums.He is listed in Benezit
