Up for sale is this Louis Icart print of racing greyhounds called Speed. This print was purchased with a number of copies of the same print. I have tried to ascertain whether this is an original print by consulting a variety of websites on the internet and by showing the print to several art resellers. The final consensus is that it is a later lithograph of the original etching from 1927.   This print is being sold as found with no returns . The high bidder will also have the option of buying additional copies. The pictures shown in this auction are of the print being sold. The print is on a heavy stock paper that measures 22" by 29 7/8". As you can see in the photo the image of the woman and lead dog are quite light. This leads me to believe that these prints were done at the end of a run or later when the plate was worn. There is a windmill blind stamp in the lower left.  The pencil signatures differ slightly on each print. There is faint copyright information on the top right of the print.  There is some staining and discoloration most noticeably along the edges.  There is an indentations (clip marks)  at the top and bottom of the left side.  Please see the pictures for condition. High bidder pays shipping and insurance. Ebay will assess any tax required by the high bidder's state. Good luck for this is a fine find!
