This car was bought by us as a cart n, meaning minor panel damage. This was damage to the bumper. This has been corrected by us to insurance standard. This means everything is replaced with a like for like or new part. This car runs and drives as good as any similar model on the road. It is not just in the same condition as any other, but in better condition than the vast majority. Interior is spotless with no real wear and tear. The body work is in absolutely great condition over all, with almost no marks other than one minor scratch to drivers door. Who are you buying from?

Tripple R has been restoring vehicles for 4+ years. A business born from a hobby that spiralled out of control. We are a small yard based in Saltney specialising in the restoration of Classic and Aged vehicles, Category N and Stolen Recovered. We are not car traders, we do not flip vehicles by buying them, cleaning them up and selling for a higher price. We would make more money if we did. We take vehicles with very clear problems, and through hard work and effort make them into good vehicles again.

 We sell a number of entry level, low milage, cat N vehicles with clean MOT histories. They are what pay our monthly bills. These vehicles are repaired to insurance standard. This means parts are replaced with like for like or new and not just repaired. All the vehicles are inspected and serviced., They come with a new MOT. This means the vehicle is as good as any similar year and milage on the road, and when they leave us, better than most.

What is a cat n ?
We are not interested in serious damage or mechanical problems at Tripple R when dealing with entry level vehicles. A cat n is non-structural damage to a vehicle where the previous owner had an insurance payout. This can mean a broken bumper, stolen vehicles with a broken ignition barrel can be cat n vehicles, sometimes a cat n is vandalism such as being keyed or having windows broken. A cat n is typically a panel or part that needs to be removed and replaced. The industry standard for pricing a cat n is Book price - 20%.  As any damage is light, a cat n represents excellent value for money. It is the same vehicle but at a 20% or more discount.

Does a cat n effect my insurance?
Not for an entry level vehicle. It depends on the value of the vehicle. As an example. Say you purchased a £50,000 vehicle which was a cat n, a Porsche. You then damaged it and made a claim. The insurance company would not know exactly how much they should value the vehicle for as there is so few if any similar examples. For an entry level vehicle there are many examples and it is easy for the insurance company to value your vehicle in the event of a claim. For this reason, the vehicle can be insured as easily as any vehicle.

Is there a warranty?
There is an automatic warranty if price exceeds the reserve by 18%
This is a 3 month warranty.
Should the vehicle only hit the reserve price, there is an option to pay the difference , reserve price+18%, and receive the 3-month warranty.

What condition are the vehicles?
They are as described, in great condition. Most are near immaculate for the age. We aim to sell vehicles in very good condition. A lot of time is spent on the vehicles to present the best possible vehicle we can. They are sold in good faith and as far as we know have absolutely no issues. As stated above, we are not car traders and as a result our profit margin are a bit better per vehicle, as a result, we are willing to spend a bit more time and a bit more money on these vehicles. However, they are used and can have , stone chips, very small marks from car doors bangs or a very minor scratch or mark. Anything noticeable will have been restored, anything that is not will be in the listing.

How do I collect the vehicle?

Vehicle collection is by appointment only. Each appointment is a two-hour slot, to collect not to arrive. Should you arrive late, you will be asked to return on another day.
