This sale is for one 1951 Airline model 3968A tube amp phonograph /record cutter /pa /AM radio in good condition for its age (see pictures). It was originally sold by Montgomery Wards in 1951 and 1952. I powered it up, the AM radio played fine, the turntable turned but was very slow, so there will have to be some sort of adjustment and the record cutter & pa system was not tested. The reproducer and recorder arms are bakelite.

It records up to 10-inch record size at 78 or 33 1/3 rpm. Plays 7, 10 and 12-inch records. The recording and playback have not been tested. The turntable spins at both 33 and 78 rpm but turns slow as stated previously. The AM radio tunes to standard broadcast stations.  This unit has a 75 watt tube amp with a microphone input  and external speaker output, no microphone, the jacks' have not been tested. The two lights on the left of the control panel function as a rudimentary VU meter.  This unit is large and heavy, the case measures 18x17x10.
