1919 Dueber Hampden Man O'Fashion. Extremely nice overall condition for a working wrist watch that is 105 years old. The Dial looks to be in excellent, original condition. The original hands were re-lumed when it was serviced a few years ago. The case has very minor tiny scratches. No dents or major dings. Hinge is still strong. Lugs do not show any wear. 14K White GF. Details are shown in the pictures. There is a new grain leather band and crystal from previous service. After recently winding for first time in several years. the watch ran about 3 minutes fast over 20 hours. I do not attempt to adjust settings. Winding should always be done in a soft back and forth motion so as not to overwind the mainspring and damage a watch. Also they are never waterprrof like the watches of today, even if stated on the watch itself. If drpped on a hard surface they may stop working from the shock damage. Sometimes a slight twisting back and forth may be need to give them a little jump start. Watches have many intricate moving parts and require cleaning and lubrication just like a car engine.
