Up on the auction block is a well-worn pair of Antique Victorian Era Black Leather Boots that will fit a US 8. The numbers inside the shafts read as follows: 460 1893 67 V 25. The leather uppers are extremely well worn with excessive creasing throughout especially in the toe tips. The seam work is fairly intact; however, the rear right ankle has some sewing repair visible.
The inside cotton twill lining is clean with stain and the material being frail. The ankles and heels have open rips in them, to be expected from such wear. The leather insoles are worn and have toe imprinting. There are leather heel pads that look like they were placed on top of the pads that were already there. The left boot insole has a brown leather patch glued on and over what looks like a small hole. The leather banding along the eyelets is in very good shape. There are 17 pairs of external eyelets to lace up. There is about a 1" band of black cloth fabric around the high tops that is in excellent shape. The leather tongues are in good condition and have full cloth backing on them.
The bottom leather half soles are in good condition for the right sole, but in poor condition for the left sole. The left sole looks like it broke and split at the half sole and then a repair was attempted. This repair may not hold and need to repaired again if these are being bid on to wear (also, brand new laces will be required as well). The wooden Cuban heels are in great shape and have most of the nylon heel caps (possibly replacements of old) on them with very light wear.
