It has already been cut, so it will not work for your existing Ignition Lock. As far as I know, you will need to transfer the key from your old remote to this one in order for it to work. In addition, it must also be reprogrammed by your local dealer or a locksmith as it is not plug and play.

 

Please use the part numbers I provided above to make sure this is the part you need for your vehicle before you place an order. The compatibility list is just for reference. Please do your search to make sure it will work for your Chevy Model / Year.
