DRAGON CRESTED SEAL TOP SPOON JAMES I / CHARLES I STERLING SILVER DANIEL CARY LONDON c1615-35
Full hallmarks for Daniel Cary, London c1615-35 (date letter no longer visible)
Dimensions: approx 180mm long (7 inches)
Weight: 56.4g
Condition: Good overall, with a few apparent repairs. Where the bowl meets the stem there appears to be an old silver repair. There is a very clean little seam joint half way along the stem, am not sure if this is indeed a repair or part of the original construction (photo 22). There is also a possible spot of silver solder in the bowl (see photo 9). Dings, light dents, nibbles, surface scratches, cracks and tarnishing. Wear commensurate with age and use. Notes: Unusual crest engraved to the reverse of the bowl.
