An extremely scarce late 16th century edition of de Granada’s Memorial of the Christian Life, divided into two parts: One with two circumstantials. Though appearing complete, this is actually two of this four-part ascetic work.

These volumes have been bound in blind stamped pigskin over wooden boards. To the covers are gilt tooled images of the Virgin Mary and Infant Jesus.

These volumes bear the stamps of the dissolved Franciscan monastery known as the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, in Miltenberg.

Worldcat records 3 existing copies of this edition in libraries.

Two pigskin bound volumes in 32mo, (32)+434; (6)+457+(14) pages

These volumes are in very good shape, with some rubbing and old staining to the bindings. There is some foxing and toning throughout.
