This is an interesting group of scarce and unique buddhist amulet beads. I am unsure of the exact material, it appears to be lacquered string or textured leather wrapped around metal tubes, but I am unable to determine the exact material. These types of items are traditionally made by monks in Thailand in order to support the monastery and as talisman's for their adherents.
