Description

Object: Lidded Imari bowl ("chawan" in Japanese) from the mid-Edo period (1770-90), decorated in underglaze blue as well as overglaze gold on green.


Decoration: Stylised floral.


Size: Diameter 10.5 cm (4"), height 7.5 cm (3").

Marks: "Fu ki cho shun" in japanese kanji characters (underglaze blue).

State: Excellent - no chips, cracks or repairs.
