Antique Sterling Silver Pin with Real Butterfly 🦋 Wing.

This is a special pin. Typical for the Victorian era, but also found in the Edwardian period.

(Believe it or not, real butterfly wings are still used by some people in jewellery making. They claim that the ‘material’ is ethically sourced.)

This one is an Italian product ( argente = silver). I can’t read the other mark, so not sure about the silver purity.

Hopefully, the photos are showing how the colours change depending from which angle you look at the pin.

I think I used to clean it with my other silver, but can’t be sure I remember it correctly, so be careful if you want to clean it.
