·        Walter Astley of Tamhorn in the County of Stafford, Yeoman and Ann his wife.

·        Humphrey Wildey of the City of Worcester, Clothier.

This is an Assignment to:

·        Walter Wildey of Comberford in the County of Stafford, Yeoman.

 

Relates to a Messuage or Tenement with gardens and outhouses at Comberford in the Lordship of Wigginton and Parish of Tamworth. The property is now or late in the tenure or occupation of John Sheppard.

Humphrey Wildey agrees to pay the yearly sum of £6 during the term of the natural life of Walter Wildey. He also agrees to deliver to the ‘actuall aboad of the said Walter Wildey in Comberford’ a sufficient cart load of coals on the Feast day of Saint Michael the Archangel.

 

Condition.  Contents complete. No holes or tears. Good condition for a document of this age. Ink clear and free of fading. Retains both vellum tabs but the wax seals are lacking.
