This is a set of three vintage magazines featuring the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953.

The batch includes:

•The Illustrated London News, May 30, 1953 “Coronation Week Double Number.” It includes full page photos and illustrations of the queen, her predecessors, photos of coronation invitations of the past and present, photos of the royal kids, the london route where subjects could line the streets to watch the coronation pass, photos and illustrations of the queens tiaras and crown, 1000 years of the royal family tree, plus tons more photos and illustrations of various regalia, family, and dignitaries. Also several fun vintage ads by Harrods, Guinness, Senior Service Cigarettes Booths Dry Gin, Jaguar motors, General Electric, and more. There is a small tear on the front cover and a set of loose pages, intact. I showed pictures of each impurity.

•The Illustrated London News, June 6, 1953 “Coronation Ceremony Number.” It includes a full page color photo of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip Duke of Edinburgh, full page sepia photo of the heir-apparent, Prince Charles, photos of the royal family including Princess Margaret, the Queen Mother, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins, a centerfold spread of crowds in Trafalgar Square, and several more pages of pageantry and royal processions of the day. Also lots of fun vintage ads from Chanel, Drambuie, Johnny Walker, and more. There is 2 small tears on the back cover (shown in picture).

•Last, a bonus “Look” magazine from May 5, 1953 with Queen Elizabeth on the cover. The cover is in ok condition except for a stamp on the front. The inside pages are fine and have a lot of vintage American articles and ads as well as a feature on the Queen’s coronation. I haven’t been able to sell this magazine by itself so I’m basically including it free of charge with the other two.

The magazines are in good to fair condition, they were surplussed from a city library so have some natural wear and tear. Because they are not in perfect condition and I am try to liquidate my collection I am selling them at a discounted price.

The magazines are a great addition for any royal collector.
