Manufacturer: Made by American Body Armor (at least that's what the chinstrap is marked)

Model: PASGT type ballistic helmet

Condition: Previously owned, see photos for actual condition. Heavily used. Typical fading, dust and saltiness from deployment/field use. No cracks or breaks in the shell, just a couple of paint chips. The lining, sweatband, chinstrap and neck pad are all very well worn, but intact. This is a collectors item and no longer intended for any sort of "real" protection or use.

Color: black/green

Date: 1984-1985

Details: The shell is marked "L-5 84-85" (size LARGE). Odd item, I've never seen one like this, I didn't even know ABA made/distributed helmets. Looks very similar to the USGI PASGT helmet, but this one doesn't have the usual stamp with the contract date etc. The only tag is in the chinstrap, which seems like an unusual place to put it, but it's obviously been sewn on there a very long time. The inside of the shell is painted, very similar to the early experimental PASGT helmets (the standard issue one is a clear finish and you can see the weave on the "fabric"). I am also throwing in three helmet covers (x2 desert, x1 woodland). These covers are not original to the helmet, so just consider them a bonus. You are bidding on the actual helmet shown in the photos. No "stock-photos".
