The iO-26 from Alesis is a multi-channel 24-bit/192kHz, FireWire audio/MIDI interface with high definition microphone preamps. The twenty-six inputs are comprised of eight analog microphone/instrument preamps, sixteen channels of ADAT digital audio and two channels of S/PDIF.
The microphone preamps provide 48V phantom power, switchable in pairs and each channel has an insert for external processing prior to the A/D converters. Eight switchable high impedance inputs allow for direct guitar and bass recording. LED meters on all eight channels and the output provide visual feedback of signal status.
FireWire interface with eight analog and eighteen digital inputs
Record and monitor at 24-bit resolution with up to 192kHz sampling rates (Cubase LE only supports 16-bit audio)
No latency monitoring of analog and digital sources
Sixteen channels of MIDI I/O
FireWire bus or adapter powered
