Description


Thomas Brabazon Aylmer (1806-c1856). Born in Co. Limerick, the son of General T.B. Aylmer.
Aylmer was a prolific landscape artist who flourished between 1830-1856.
Thomas Aylmer studied at St. John's College, Cambridge. He painted in Belgium, Germany and Italy. Aylmer exhibited from 1838-1855.
In 1853 he wrote and illustrated a series of articles for the 'Art Journal'.
