19th Century Set of 2 Charles Dickens Pickwick Papers Novelty Silver Plate Gilt Repousse Berry Spoons

You are viewing a rare and fine quality set of two novelty silver plated berry spoons. They have barley twist column handles, the terminals formed as characters from Charles Dickens 'Pickwick Papers'. The bowls have a beautiful repousse berry design.

They were made by the firm of William Wheatcroft Harrison (1857–1896). These have a Victorian lozenge mark that indicates the date of manufacture.

The quality is superb. They each measure about 9-1/4 inches long.

I cannot think of a more original gift for a lover of the works of Charles Dickens.

We do not polish vintage silver as we find that our clients have differing preferences regarding the level of shine.
