This Edwardian, contoured, sterling silver vesta case features all over floral design and a monogrammed circular cartouche. The vesta case bears full hallmarks for Chester 1909, with the maker' mark being that of the Chester silversmithing firm of S. Blankensee &Son Ltd.
The vesta case features a contoured shape, a spring loaded, hinged lid, thumb piece, match strike and chain attachment loop.  The measurements are approximately 4 cm by 4.5 cm; total silver weight is 22.69g. The hinge is in perfect condition and the lid closes easily and fully. The hallmarks are crisp and clear.
