Bonnie Raitt served a long apprenticeship before becoming an "overnight"
success with her tenth album Nick Of Time in 1989, which topped the
charts in the USA and around the world and picked up four Grammy Awards.
Always a favourite of the critics, she had steadily built up an
ever-increasing loyal fan base and delivered a string of top quality
albums. This show from Montreux in 1977 was part of Bonnie's first ever
European tour and gives ample evidence that she already possessed the
qualities that would later be so celebrated. Her trademark combination
of acoustic balladry, electric rock and gritty blues is in evidence
across a track listing that includes Under The Falling Sky, Give It Up
Or Let Me Go, Women Be Wise and her early success Runaway. The editing
and restoration on the DVD has been done in full co-operation with
Bonnie Raitt and the concert is presented in DTS Surround Sound, Dolby
5.1 Surround Sound and PCM Stereo for the best possible sound quality.
