In celebration of the 30th
Anniversary of “BACK TO THE FUTURE PART III.” This print is
unique. From the original concept design by Drew Struzan but altered and enhanced
by artist Christopher De Stefano, he gives you a sense of familiarity with the
artwork for “Back to the Future III,” to give you the
recognizable poster theme pose. Except, this varies from the original poster
design used to market the film. This design was never turned into a poster with
Marty wearing the '50's pink fringe shirt and maroon jeans, that the ’55 Doc Brown gave ’85
Marty to wear to the year 1885.
The backstory goes, Drew having
already designed two finished oil paintings for this project. A painting with a
daytime background with Marty in the Clint Eastwood outfit with Doc in 1885
with the Train behind them, and the other painting with a nighttime sky with
Marty wearing the '50s pink fringe shirt with Doc. Co-creators, Bob Zemeckis
and Bob Gale couldn't decide on the two designs. Zemeckis and Gale wanted to
combine both the night sky with Marty in the Eastwood serape. So, what did Drew
end up doing? Drew made the necessary changes and painted over the existing
nighttime sky which became the official "BTTF Part III" movie poster
with Marty, Doc & Clara.
This image of Marty in the original
pink fringe shirt no longer exists, but only exists now as a conceptual enhanced
redesigned from the original piece of art designed by Drew Sturzan.
This print doesn’t exist anywhere
else in existence.
