The deuterium tube with a gas-discharge principle of action — DDS-30, is used as a broadband glow of electromagnetic emission of the ultraviolet spectrum (the wavelength range of 186-360 nm) and is installed in various spectrophonometric devices (monochromators, spectrophotometers, special lighting devices).
DDS-30 have the appearance of a glass bulb, which is equipped with a side window made of optical quartz and an octal base.
