I have not fully tested but did advance and shutter worked timer works and basic functions worked. Battery compartment does open but battery will need to be replaced. One odd thing was the viewfinder would remain dark for several pictures sometimes and then reopen act normal for a few shots then remain dark again for a few pictures. Also the UV 49mm outer ring on lens has a dent shown in photos. Other than that I checked everything I know to look at. Seems like a solid camera and the manual is actually very well written and helpful!
