This Vintage Hungarian Folk Art Doll is a rare find that will make a great addition to any doll collection. The doll is handmade with a cloth hat featuring pom poms and traditional antique cloth, painted face, and cloth body with composition and fabric materials, and sawdust filling. Even has eyelashes.

The girl doll is 15 inches tall from top of pompoms to toes and skirt measures 16 inches across.  

This beautiful vintage doll is a true piece of art, handcrafted with care using traditional costume and fabrics representative of the Mezőkövesd region in northern Hungary. (The Matyó are a subgroup of Hungarians who populate an ethnographic region called "Matyó Land (Matyóföld)". The Matyó have retained distinctive traditions, costumes and embroidery.) 

The doll's dress shows off traditional Matyo Hungarian features that include a head scarf, puffed sleeves, rag and cloth material making her a unique addition to any collection.

This unique piece was made between 1960-1969 and is suitable for teens and adults who want to display and showcase the art, culture, and costumes of Hungary. This doll is a timeless piece of history that will bring joy to any collector, lover of folk art and vintage enthusiasts alike.
