This version includes the HPF and LPF filters from that solid state UK console company.
S.V.A's version of the classic Grampian 636. This is not a clone.
1. Each unit is hand built to order with extreme care and love.
2. Germanium Transistors are carefully selected to meet the original operating points of the Grampian circuit.
3. No cheap foreign labour is used and no one is exploited and paid minimum wage.
4. Only high quality capacitors are used in the signal path. 0.6w resistors used through out.
5. This is not an off the shelf product.
6. I have personally installed a rather large solar array and lead acid battery storage capacity ( 99% recyclable unlike lithium ) and power all of my work with the Sun and the Sun only.

Transformer Coupled Germanium Transistor preamp ( preamp circuit taken precisely from the Grampian 636 ) coupled to a classic driver circuit that drives the tank in a strong compressed fashion.

"....Yeah have just tried it at the studio - it’s awesome man, absolutely love it. Sounds exactly the same as the one I had tried previously from SOUNDGAS only £4K cheaper. I put it on a desk aux as you said going into the mic input but it seemed to work best with the direct switch flipped up. That gave me the really nice distortion I remembered from when I’d used one before. Michael, this thing you’ve made is a real thing of beauty. I’ve had it hooked up for a day and a half and already used it flute, vocals, drum machine and mono synth. It’s absolutely magic! The spring reverb is WAAAY better than I expected it to be . ( Duncan at Map Studios , North London )

Wow! What a great sound this unit’s got. Everything sounds sweet through it, organic - an instrument in it’s own right. The Direct Switch is very useful & with the two added filters that this Prince Fatty version has, you’ve got plenty of scope to get the kinda sound you want… Big-up Michael

I've owned many a spring reverb from the Fisher SpacExpander to Benidub Spring Amp and although they are good. This is the king! Beautifully crafted, very well built and sounds absolutely superb. I bought this reverb solely based on the few videos on Youtube and I have to say it is quite an impressive character piece. The old school spring reverb sounds beautiful but what makes this reverb unique is the way you can drive the preamp to either give character to the reverb or just use the preamp to add a gritty and characterful overdrive / distortion.
