Softbound in soft tan suede with yapped edges. Illustrated front panel, including crossed flags in red, white and blue, with black titling.

Illustrated frontis. Gilt top text block edge. Decorative end papers. The book is in Good(+) condition. The exterior has noticeable creasing to crown and heel of spine and some edge wear and curling, largely because of the yapped edges of the suede wraps. Staining to cover. Gilt edge of the text block remains very bright and clean; the other two edges are age-toned. The text clean with light toning, with the exception of the title page and frontis, which show a bit of soiling.

1906 pencil Christmas inscription. Although the fine stitching can be seen in many gutters, the text remains tightly bound and square. Remains well-bound. No dust jacket, as issued.
