For sale is a lovely antique 5 piece Gorham silver soldered tea set. The tea set is made up of a coffee pot, tea pot, creamer, sugar, and a waste bowl. I believe the set is from 1869 - 1889 the set is designed with 3 incised panels in the center of the pieces a band of cherry and leaf design and a group of applied fruit on the handle three pieces have a small pineapple finial. There is a monogram which looks like C A  conjoined the coffee pot is approximately 9 1/4" tall including the finial 5 1/2" wide, tea pot 8" tall with finial 5 1/2" wide, creamer 5" tall 4 " wide, sugar bowl 6 3/4' with the finial 5 1/2' wide, waste bowl 3 3/4" tall 5 1/2' wide. I would consider this tea set to be in very good condition maybe lightly used the tea pot handle is a little loose but all the pins are in also no cover on waste bowl don' recall other waste bowls having covers. Gorham was one of the leading and longest silver company's in American History they were from Providence Rhode Island. The set is a beautiful set to display on your buffet, Marks include Gorham MFG CO the G in a shield, silver soldered, 01.40A the letter B.
