For your consideration we are offering these 2 antique documents mounted on black art board. To Colonel Edward Daniel Meier, a certificate of appreciation presented on his 70th birthday in 1911 by the American Society Of Mechanical Engineers. Colonel Meier was president of the society and president of Heine Safety Boiler Co. He was a Civil War veteran who fought at the battle of Gettysburg and received the surrender of General John Bell Hood near the end of the war. Opposite side of board features a memorial document for Edward F. C.Young 1835-1908 from the board of the 1st National Bank of Jersey City. Edward Young was a 19th century business tycoon. A banker, manufacturer and politician. He was nominee for N.J. Governor in 1892. Please see photo images for actual condition of these documents. We will consider a reasonable offer.
