1/720 German WW2 ADMIRAL HIPPER Heavy Cruiser
This is a Matchbox 1/720 Scale Assembly and Paint Required Plastic Model Kit from the World War II era German Cruiser Admiral Hipper, the lead ship of its class of heavy cruisers in service with the Kriegsmarine (warship). Built by Blohm + Voss Shipbuilding Company and operating from April 1939, the Admiral Hipper cruiser was the first of four Admiral Hipper-class Heavy Cruisers built by Germany during World War II. She took part in the German invasion of Norway on April 8, 1940, and thereafter served Off Norway in conjunction with other German surface warships on missions to disrupt British convoys across the Atlantic. The Admiral Hipper was damaged in combat in 1942 and was decommissioned until 1945 when she was used, partially repaired, operating in the corridor between the Baltic in Operation Hannibal as the Polish Red Army Advanced. Completed model is approximately 11.6 inches long.
