In 1978, while the Toden route was shrinking, it was reborn as the Toden 7000 "renewal car" No. 7001, with a new body for a one-man operation.
In 2013, it was painted yellow with a red band before the body was renewed, and it played an active role as a popular vehicle, but on June 11, 2017, the Arigato 7000 series event was held and it retired from active service.
