What is "Kuon of the Nine Spirits"?
Kuon, the cat who died in this world and awakened in the underworld, must traverse the harsh underworld in order to return to his master's awaiting world.
The player controls Quon, a cat, as he embarks on a journey to explore the vast underworld in search of a way to open the "Gate of the Underworld" that leads to the present world.
On his journey, he will encounter the unique environment of the underworld, the demons that inhabit it, and the demonic beastmen who share Quon's circumstances.
Quon, a mere cat, is weak and will soon die when attacked by enemies, but he can be resurrected by capturing the souls of animals, and with his "Animal Revive," a special ability that allows him to acquire new skills, he can boldly face them.
Depending on the choices players make along the journey with Quon, the story can end in a variety of ways.

The reason for death could be anything.
Life is weak and easily lost.
The cat lived with the ningen.
The "owner" must have been saddened by the death of the cat.
