I am selling a vintage 14'' inch Bush Internet Television, Model No: ITV8401, from 2001. It is truly a part of Internet History.

It is in good working order. The internet functionality is old technology so you would need a retro-hardware setup for the internet connection.

It has 50hz Refresh Rate. It has SCART and aerial input on the rear.

This is a very rare item which was also featured in the Science Museum Group Collection.

This 'Internet TV' was the result of a partnership between electronics companies Bush and Virgin in the early 2000s. Bush provided the television, while Virgin created the content for the web pages it displayed. The aim was to enable many more households to have access to the web, and to create a comfortable first time experience for consumers. In the rush to get the technology on to the market the TV was launched with some shortcomings. For instance, there was no guarantee that websites not designed specifically for the device would display properly. This particular device was not a commercially success, but by the 2010s internet-enabled ‘smart televisions’ were becoming increasingly common.
