This is a Goblin Teasmade de Luxe, model 835B, from circa 1970s. It does not have its original packaging or instructions but it's otherwise complete with its tray, kettle and teapot. It has hardly ever been used and has been in storage for at least 40 years. Visually, it is therefore in remarkably good condition, with only minor wear and storage marks. However, the "Hand Set" winder on the back (for setting the clock) is missing its knob (see photo 7). The mechanism itself, however, has been tested and it still works. Therefore a replacement knob could be fitted. All the components are original except for the plug, which had to be replaced to enable testing. The clock works, the lights come on and the alarm sounds, as can be see in the attached video. However, these are the only aspects that have been tested. The setting and testing of the alarm itself, the heating of the kettle, the pouring mechanism, etc, have not been tested. This item should be fully electrically tested by a suitably qualified person prior to any further use. Please see all the photographs and the video for a better impression of this item.
