A rare Shelley pattern No 8901/1

Pattern No 8901/1:

Pink & blue flowers with green leaves in a border with gold lozenge shapes together with  hand enamelled raised turquoise dots against a white ground.

Pink ground to lower two thirds of cup and centre saucer. Gilt trims. (which is slightly mottled on some pieces)

Entered pattern book during or after 1913.

The shape of this cup and saucer is the Vincent Shape, which was produced between 1913 & 1962.

The back stamp is the 1913-1926 green cartouche mark.

CUP:                DIAMETER 3.25"; HEIGHT 2.25"
SAUCER:          DIAMETER : 5.6"
SIDE PLATE: DIAMETER : 6.75"

Condition: All pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Paintwork / enamelling is generally in very good order with no fading to the pattern. The pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.

The pink ground is mottled / faded on some of the plates and cups, however they are simply stunning to look at.

These are exceptionally gorgeous to look at.  Beautiful cabinet pieces.

I have 8 trios in all, together with two cake plates a milk jug and slush bowl.
