Monogram Jaguar XK-E Plastic Model Kit # 2601 1:8 Scale

This is a new, never built Jaguar Kit.

Here's some history on this kit.

Years ago, my husband and I had built this car from a kit we purchased back then.  Same exact kit.  My husband had always wanted to build another one.

We ran across this kit at an estate sale, but the box it was in was completely destroyed.  It had had something spilled on it and was unable to be saved.  The parts, though all looked to be in good original condition.

So we bought the kit and brought it home.  We got out our previous instruction book (same exact book as the one in this kit) and went through the parts piece by piece.  And ALL the parts were there and in perfect condition!

We then proceeded to wrap all the parts in plastic and tissue to protect them.   The smaller parts we put into containers to keep them from getting lost or damaged.

The body parts are all in plastic bags.  The glass in the tissues were in very good shape with no scratches.  And that is the way this kit has been stored for years.

As we will not be building this kit after all,  it's time to pass this kit on to someone else who will enjoy it!
