This is a set of 6 antique Victorian white porcelain or pottery farmhouse kitchen bowls dating to the late 19th century, acquired from a sale of farm contents near the town of Garvagh in County Derry, Ireland (where they presumably spent their entire life).
Measuring only 5.75cm wide and just under 4cm tall each, I have no idea what they were used for (everything in a Victorian kitchen had a purpose - can anyone enlighten me what these bowls are)? They are the right size for eggcups, but not the right shape having no foot.
They are in good condition with minor wear and tear from use and age, mostly on the rims; one has a small chip on the rim, and another has a small manufacturing defect in the same place.
