Vintage desktop receipt or note holder/spike. Features a heavy round base with a long spike/hook on top. Base measures approximately 2” in diameter, total height approximately 5 1/2" including the spindle. Marked on side of base, appears to read “W Sterling 1275” but everything other than Sterling is difficult to read. Unknown maker or pattern name. Base is very heavy, but not marked weighted - I am not sure whether it is weighted or solid sterling. Total weight of this item is approximately 309 grams.

This piece is an antique and shows wear consistent with its age. The base has some dents around the side, and the felt bottom is peeling off. Tarnished, would benefit from polishing.
