Manufacturer: Made by LOWE ALPINE for the US Military

Model:  LCS-84 backpack system

Condition: Previously owned, see photos for actual condition. Typical wear from field use. Could probably use a washing. The waterproofing on the fabric is gone (common for a pack of this age) and there are a few minor nicks and pin-holes. But no major damage. The webbing on the inside of the main compartment that was designed to hold a radio has been removed. All of the zippers and buckles etc are intact and work fine. The foam in the shoulders and belt are still "soft" and flexible. Overall it's in good condition and still has the patrol-pack intact. Keep in mind this is a 40 year old pack and should be judged accordingly.

Color: green

Date: 1984

Details: Very rare, these were made exclusively for the US Military (primarily Special Forces CAG/Delta and SEALs) in 1984 as an experimental pack to work with the LCS-84 load bearing vest (not included). This design eventually evolved into the "CFP-90" (Field pack large internal frame) in 1990. This is the first-gen version with the more durable webbing "ladder" spine adjustment, (the later version had a plastic spine-drift adjustment that was prone to breaking). These packs were seen in use with Delta, Special Forces etc in the 80-90s. You are bidding on the actual pack shown in the photos. No "stock-photos".
