Original WW2 US Army Enlisted Man’s Mackinaw Jeep Coat Size 42

Early first pattern Mackinaw Coat made in Green Duck Canvas with a shawl collar and blanket lining.

Overall in very good hardly worn condition just a few brown marks, possibly rust or blood,  and slight wear to the button hole edging, please study Photos.

Both sleeve cuffs are in excellent condition and all original buttons are present, the wool lining is also in excellent condition.

There is no size label just a small QM label on one of the inside pockets.

The original owners name is stamped inside on the right hand arm pit together with what I assume are laundry numbers one of these numbers is also hand written on the back of the belt.

I’d say best fit would be a 40 to 42 chest depending on what you want to wear under the coat, I’m a 44 and it fits me, but with just a shirt under,  see last two photos.

Please go by the following measurements and compare them to a coat that is a comfortable fit.

Underarm to Underarm across the chest 23 inches

Shoulder to Shoulder 17 inches

Outer sleeve length 26 inches

Overall length is 35 inches
