This is a vintage Ludwig Supraphonic 5”x14” snare drum.
The serial number is 311458 which which tells me that it was made in 1966.
Please read carefully so you know exactly what to expect.
The throw off is a Ludwig but a later model.
The top hoop looks almost brand new so I believe it is not original. Bottom hoop seems to be original and has a couple of light dents (see photos).
I’m pretty sure that a good amount of the tension rods are not original.
The keystone badge is loose and will need to be reinforced (if that bothers you).
It currently has a 42 strand wires installed, an Emperor coated top head and a brand new Diplomat head on the bottom.
Cosmetically, it has some wear. Most noticeably - the shell has a good amount of pitting and scratches. The throw off handle has some of the chrome coming off.
