Vintage 1973 SILVERTONE (Selmer/Buescher for Sears) Alto Sax with Fine Original Case & Rico B3 Mouthpiece. Sax Serial #575979. WOW! A 50 year old student alto in such excellent condition. Even the bow guard shines! This Silvertone alto has hardly a scuff or scratch - like it's been in a time capsule - and it plays as good as it looks. It's been cleaned and *adjusted, and plays great with a smooth, lively tone on the included Rico B3 mouthpiece. Pads, corking, and felts are all in very good playing condition, and the springs show quick action. Cosmetically, there are no dents, maybe a very small ding, hardly a scratch or any scuffing, and only one small blemish on the bell tube. In a word - Awesome! The original case looks and functions great. It's very sturdy and is probably the reason why this horn looks this good. Included with the case are a new microfiber polishing cloth, the original black end plug, a nice Neotech neckstrap, a black LaVoz 4-slot reed holder w/2 LaVoz cane reeds, and the Rico B3 mouthpiece w/ligature, cap, and new Rico Plasticover reed.
