About this vehicle
This 1980 Yamaha XS850 is a modified vehicle. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend rides.Seller's Notes
Aside from the obvious changes from the original bike, which is shown in the last photo, The original start button failed several times, so we replaced it with one down below the seat on the left side, (shown in photo). We left the original one intact so it looks correct. The handlebars were replaced, and the tail light was repositioned after some of the unnecessary pieces were removed. Yamaha’s iconic Triple. 1980 XS850. I owned this same bike in college in Boulder in the 90s. I found this one in Minneapolis and had my mechanic strip it down and give it a new cool look. We took everything off that we didn’t really need and put it back together. Lots of engine work to make it run flawlessly. (Specifics available)
