I have decided to sell my large collection of car sales brochures, avidly collected in the mid-1970s, from which this listing comes.

As a 14/15 year-old in 1974 and 75 I attended the Earls Court Motor Show. I recall the events with great fondness - I had a fabulous time voraciously collecting every brochure and scrap of what is now memorabilia that was available - from Ferrari to Lamborghini, and Austin to Morris (BL). I sat in as many cars as possible too!
My collection features the supercars and prestigious makes of the 1970s... Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jensen - and many other makes too - hundreds and hundreds of items from 50 top manufacturers of the 1970s in all! I have only just started to list these, please use "Contact seller" if you are interested in the whole collection, or parts of it, via Ebay only - more details below of what I have.
Please bear in mind that these brochures are getting on for being 50 years old, so here-and-there there may be some minor points of discolouration that are simply commensurate with age. However, this isn't evident on all items and simply reflects the properties of the paper, etc, as these brochures and papers have been kept safely in folders away from sunlight and scarcely ever viewed since they were first put away. You are welcome to ask about specific aspects of condition of course and I will be happy to respond.
I especially remember a couple of greatly treasured events at the 1974 and 1975 motor shows...
The supercar stands were cordoned off and weren't letting in the regular show goers... but at the Ferrari stand in '74, the uniformed guard took pity on me droolingly looking over the barrier and for some reason made an exception and let me into the Ferrari pen, where I was able to sit in all the gleaming red Ferraris!
Most exceptional of all in this collection are a series of photographs that I believe were exclusive-to-the-press from Ferrari (actual photographs, not printed materials)... Unlike the regular cars, it was next-to impossible to get brochures from the Ferrari stand, they just didn't want give them out. However, my dad (smartly dressed for the day out) was with me and came to the rescue, and I remember him going to the Ferrari stand and saying something along the lines of... "I'm representing Mr Parish of JP Bearings, he couldn't come along today, he's interested in the latest Ferraris, do you have any promotional material that I could take back to the office for him?". That was all completely made up on the spot, but he must have struck the right note, because they found photos and more to pass to him - an absolutely fantastic haul for my collection!!! All these treasured items have been kept safely in folders for all these years since.

If you return an item, you MUST obtain a Certificate of Posting (receipt) from your Post Office (they are free) and please keep it safe, as it will be essential if making a claim. If you return an item(s) to me without a Certificate of Posting and it goes missing in the post, it will then not be possible to make a claim for it from Royal Mail, which in turn will mean I am then unable to refund you.
