This is a majestic Baccarat male lion figurine, made in lead crystal glass and dating from the late 20th century.
The figurine is in excellent condition for its age. It shows some small age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with use.
The figurine is in the form of a male lion en passant measuring 11 cm (4.4 inches) in height. The figurine is 27.5 cm (11 inches) across at its widest point. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The figurine bears the etched Baccarat France logo to the underside of the base and retains the original red Baccarat sticker to the side. It has five applied pads to the base to avoid scratching of the furniture surface on which it sat.
It weighs in at 2.035 kg. (~ 4 lb. 8 oz.).
