This empty cabinet from the early days of British radio manufacture comes from a collection of 1920’s models I was fortunate enough to acquire from the estate of a passionate collector. His complete radios have now found new homes but there are some remaining empty cases that might prove useful to fellow collectors.
The case has wear or patina as pictured but it still has an attractive gloss, is structurally strong and pleasantly clean with no woodworm or other issues. Hinges, lid support and catch are all good and the paper lid insert is complete and clear. The decal is in very worn condition but I have an unused reproduction item that I will include with this sale. There are no other parts included.
I hope this case will find a place in another nice collection, perhaps as the basis for a project radio, or perhaps just as a storage box for an enthusiast.
