This simplex repeater is designed to plug into some VHF/ UHF / dual band ham radios or GMRS/FRS type radios.  The repeater has 2 plugs, one is for the external speaker port on the radio and one plug is for the external mic port on the radio.  To operate, place the 2 plugs into the radio, turn the volume up on the portable radio half way or more and it will record what it hears then will transmit that same recording over the radio. 

This is a used item in great condition and works perfect.  Requires 4 AAA batteries for operation.
