There is no other example of this item available anywhere currently. A true collection grail piece. Campagnolo high flange sheriff star hubs in road “strada” edition are rare. Typically only used by a collector on a show bike here or there. There’s very few NOS sets still around. The track versions are a little bit more common. The apex of c record is century finish and sheriff star century finish hubs are the peak.

The origins of century finish started when bianchi planned to celebrate their 100 year anniversary with the centenario commemorative bike. Only 1500 numbered bikes were made. The frames design details started with their specialissima X3 but with a special chromovelato paint finish dark grey with a c record groupset which had parts in a gunmetal grey color and each part pantographed and embellished with centenario livery as well as the iconic headbadge. At the time it was dubbed century finish for the centenario bike release. Campagnolo stepped up to offer something exotic for the "Campagnolo aficionado" in their 1990/1991 catalog releases that featured darker finish. Only 2500 Century Group Sets were made. Only 500 Groups were imported to the US making it the most exclusive and rarest of C Record components.

For all those 2500 who knows how many sheriff star examples were created. They aren’t pictured in the catalogs. The little order sheet on the 1991 catalog which I’ve included a photo of has high flange as an option.

Front hub is 28 hole. There is a tiny bit of storage wear on the front only. 100mm standard front spacing.

Rear is 32 hole. There has never had a freewheel threaded on or has there ever been a spoke laced onto either hub. 130mm rear spacing.

Comes with matching c record skewers.

Message me if you want to talk pricing. You might never find another set for sale.

Lastly these were never offered in a campagnolo branded box. The only ever new old stocks have always had these same white cardboard boxes. If you have seen a campagnolo branded box for any sheriff star hub version I’d love to see a photo!
