***Date of manufacture is June 21, 1963***

This is a used 1/2HP (6” wheels, 1/2” arbor) Industrial Craftsman bench grinder. This is the best version of the grinders in the Industrial ratings.

The wheels appear to be a coarse/medium grit stone wheel pair. I would say both wheels are able to be used as-is with there being no damage to either-just signs of average use. I assume they’re original wheels from when this grinder was new-so it may be desirable to change

The paint has some obvious “age” to it and has minor scratches and scuffs in some areas as can be expected for its age. There’s paint overspray and spatter that looks like someone had a spill or something nearby that splashed on the grinder-see blue spatter in photos.

The cord is in great shape as is the internal wiring/components. This feels to have a heavier duty insulation on the cord that later model grinders. There’s also paint on the cord.

The original eye shields are in very good shape. The original tool rests are in place as is the quench tray which has been bead blasted as it had a bunch of junk inside the tray.

It runs and operates beautifully with the wheels spinning smoothly and for almost 2 minutes after shutdown. There’s no unusual vibrations or noise from bearings. Rest assured-this machine is ready to go to work. It comes just as shown with all the parts, but may or may not be sent disassembled to some degree. The original lamp works nicely and will come with the incandescent bulb installed. It turns on when the grinder is powered on.

The lamp works when the grinder powers up and an LED bulb would be a good swap.

Shipping is included at the sale price to the lower 48 from Union Grove, Wi 53182. I have other grinders that I’ve saved and renovated and can sell them “restored” as well. Any questions-please feel free to ask. Please take a look at my other listings if you’re into other great workshop items and tools. I have a LOT that I sell.
