The grips are made from genuine army canvas  .The canvas is cut to size and the bare edge are then bound in binding which is the stitched together to form a tube 

One grip is 7/8  inch for the clutch side and the throttle side is 1 inch in diameter

The grip and the brass rings are then glued to the bars with a epoxy glue.
