Antique Articulated Wooden Hand. Carved from Beech wood, this hand would of originally been made for artists models or store glove display. The fingers and thumb can be positioned in multiple poses and are jointed at the knuckle and finger joints, the wrist is also jointed, with a red velvet base. These hands would have been mounted on a stand for display purposes. C1920

This hand is in very good condition with all the joints remaining fully functional.

Lay figures were used by artists and sculptors in the pursuit of the perfect form and also used for displaying clothing and gloves in well heeled department stores.

This is the last one I have left I sold my previous one for £295
